The partners Samsung, such as telephone operators, were impressed from two devices at the recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and total ordered something like 20 million units . A request so high that, according ETNews, the Asian company may have trouble coping with this need.
According to initial reports from South Korea, Samsung plans initially predicted the production of 12 million units of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge , insufficient to cover existing orders. It is for this reason that from the parts of Seoul have decided to intervene, by enhancing the production.
Between March and April will indeed be assembled 13 million smartphones (5 million in March and 8 April), production will a limited number compared to what is required but will definitely still decrease the gap between the demands and the actual availability . Device products in the next two months, 9 million will be 4 million Galaxy Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
It is not surprising that there is an imbalance so high on the number of units of the two models. Obviously there is no official confirmation on this, but it is reasonable to think that the reason lies in the fact that the Galaxy S6 Edge, with its curved screen, is more difficult to produce. Also, being more expensive, probably Samsung expects to sell as many copies significantly lower than the Galaxy S6 .
In Italy the two models will be on sale at a price rather considerable . Although, as we have explained in the past days, we can expect that the cost decreases significantly within a few months, as per established tradition Samsung. Specifically, the Galaxy S6 start from 739 € for the 32GB version, while 849 euro will be needed to take home the 64 GB version. The Galaxy S6 Edge, as mentioned, will be more expensive: € 889 and € 999 respectively for versions 32 and 64 GB.
