It is definitely the smartphone more interesting than this first part of 2015, and, quite possibly, one of the most innovative models ever born to Samsung in recent years. The Galaxy S6 and its twin curved ( Galaxy S6 Edge ) a first result they’ve already got: have done and will discuss, users and experts. The last to arrive, it will be said, always makes the news, but the truth is otherwise: that after so many variations on a theme (now honestly a bit ‘worn), the giant Seoul opted to follow a different path.

The Galaxy S6 is above all this: a telephone, or rather two, away from patterns that Samsung had accustomed for years : the metal takes the place of the plastic, the battery becomes one with the monocoque body, the slot for the microSD evaporates to leave the place in a fixed memory is not expandable. View so you could say that Samsung has followed verbatim the example of the hated rival of America. Yet there is one aspect that differentiates the new Galaxy S6 from any device on the market today, including iPhone: the presence of a version with rounded edges , an experiment quite unique, intended – maybe – to change the rules of the game.
To put it not mince words: Galaxy S6 looks short in an almost shameless iPhone 6 , but a smartphone with two edges sloping gently down Apple does not have it. And that makes all the difference in the world. It is no coincidence that the Korean manufacturer has decided to place the Edge version of the device a step above the standard model (something like 750 € about the Samsung Galaxy S6 standard and 850 € about the Edge S6). Because from that world and the new world you pay, even in an extremely dynamic and changing as that of smartphones.

The question, at this point, arises: a smartphone recurve is really useful or we are in front of a simple exercise in style crafted to pull the wool over your eyes? The impression is that Samsung will be limited for the moment to give a new signature style to an object that, aesthetically speaking, is always more or less equal to itself. Do not forget that the purchase of a high-end smartphone, which is precisely the Galaxy S6, responds to the logic of visual character and emotional. And that Samsung needed first of all to bridge the gap from Apple as regards design, build quality, the whole personality.
This does not mean that we are facing to a mobile technically poor, indeed.
