Early September with an update for Samsung Galaxy S4 – OptiMagazine

In recent days the Samsung Galaxy S4 has seen the release of a new firmware version, the I9505XXUGNH7, available via OTA for i branded Vodafone . build date August 20 , the release date is the most ever for the model in question, but unfortunately still based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The package has a weight of about 155 MB (for who was going to download it via OTA from previous I9505XXUGNE8), and is still not available for download via direct link, or via KIES.

Changes are not significant, and should be limited to a number of various optimizations. However, we point out from the outset that the package, as now happens to be a bit ‘of time in this part invalidates the work done by the tool Towelroot to obtain root permissions without altering the meter Knox (to succeed in the company at that point you need to make use of Mobile Odin Pro.)

In addition, we also note that this firmware I9505XXUGNH7 reserved for Samsung Galaxy S4 Vodafone does not seem to solve the problem of sudden reboots, and that it would also responsible for a phenomenon of battery drain rather important because of appearing of a new process, “IMS FRAMEWORK”, which would collapse the battery life even in the case of a use low, or almost zero.

For this reason, we do not recommend, at least for the moment, upgrading, and to temporize until ‘The eventual arrival of Android or its ROM that independent developers certainly sforneranno for the Samsung Galaxy S4, regardless of the decision that the company will take.
