Surf without connection to Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 – OptiMagazine

Have you ever thought of navigate on the web by Samsung Galaxy S4 and S3 without being connected to the Internet? From the end of September it will be made viable through Browser Cosmos , a project with a thousand possibilities, created especially to make life easier for the population in emerging countries, where often it is impossible to qualify for a stable connection.

You’ll wonder how it is possible: do not worry, we are here to satisfy your curiosity. The application, which we know will be available for the Android platform (and therefore also on board Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4), it will work through the use of SMS . To make it all work, will need to enter the URL of the page you are visiting, and the software will then send via SMS a compressed version of the site. SMS, in turn, will then be decompressed and displayed just as if we were in front of a web page.

Of course, before you indulge, it would be appropriate to activate a dedicated data plan with unlimited SMS to avoid to meet a spending spree and outside the program. Of course, browsing through Cosmos Browser can not be even remotely comparable to the traditional one which we are accustomed, but in cases of emergency (imagine being totally out of coverage, and you have an urgent need for specific information) would return really useful.

You may be of interest:

The idea behind the project is really brilliant: we will see how the application will be implemented and if, in practice, the actual operation will prove to live up to expectations. If so, would you be willing to use Cosmos Brower on Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4?
