Challenge between 6 and Samsung Galaxy Nexus S6: a first look – OptiMagazine

Now there is much talk of Nexus 6 , the next generation of Google mobile collect call to the legacy of the Nexus 5, device very much appreciated by users for its excellent technical specifications and the relatively low price.

Today we want to be afraid, maybe even a little ‘risky, comparing the upcoming Google Phone the Samsung Galaxy S6 , the future South Korean flag bearer who will not see the light before February, March. Of course, we will not be here to talk to you about the technical specifications, it would be absurd to speculation in this sense is seen as the presumed date of submission of the next flagship Asia. We will examine those parameters which, by force of circumstances and past experience could be replicated by the respective manufacturers.

DESIGN – In the case of the Nexus 6, it will be to deal with Motorola to make it happen . Expect, therefore, forms a very minimalist, a camera porthole and an opaque shell probably not removable, in perfect Nexus. Who knows that the aesthetics do not remember that traced by the Moto X (2014), subtle, refined and with more sinuous lines. For Samsung Galaxy S6 the issue should be treated with equal wisdom: so far its products are certainly not distinct in this regard. The characteristic features are a few years always the same: rounded corners, back cover in eco-leather (perforated now), the sensor of the camera square in shape, and to limit metal trim along the side edges (Note 4). It will be difficult for the company to take charge of the construction of a model entirely of metal.

You may be of interest:

DISPLAY – According to the leaks leaked on the net, the Google mobile will integrate a screen of 5.2 inches with qHD resolution equal to 2560 × 1440 pixels, with sharpness and detail rendition actually higher (much will depend on ppi and the technology used). The South Korean, in turn, could adopt a SuperAMOLED 5.5-inch, qHD always, following in the footsteps of Note 4, already marked by the same resolution (difficult, if not impossible, the presence of a curved screen like the Edge Notes)

SOFTWARE – The Nexus 6, in this sense, does not fight, fast and agile from the first to the last day (in most cases) and with a preferential always guaranteed side updates. This will almost certainly be the first device to have Android L. The Samsung Galaxy S6 will respond with a revised TouchWiz yes, but probably chock full of unnecessary applications. Presented only in a few months, the device could also make his debut with on board an incremental release of the next major-release (Android 5.1 for an example);

FEATURE EXCLUSIVE – We doubt that the next Google mobile can somehow impress in this regard. Devices of this type are created to keep as low as possible the right price, without sacrificing user experience worthy of note. The South Korean, however, may have an edge, maybe incorporating a scanner inside of the eyeball, a feature already much-maligned in the recent past (on the other hand already the current standard-bearer was marked by the introduction of fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, IP67 certification, private mode and ultra power saving mode).

If you mind the substance rather than the form, then tip everything on the Nexus 6, inter alia ramp toss. If, however, you’re more attracted by the uniqueness, then waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S6 (probably needs to wait until next April before you hold it in your hands.)
