Internal Memory Samsung Galaxy S6, S5 comparison with the actual … – OptiMagazine

The new Samsung Galaxy Galaxy S6 and S6 edge , as you know, does not have expandable memory via microSD . The two devices are available with three cuts memory: 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

According to colleagues of AndroidCentral, the first time the memory available to the user, the 32GB version and is 23.5GB. Making some quick calculations – assuming approximately 8GB occupied by the system – we deduce that the 64GB version will find approximately 55GB and 119GB available on the 128GB version.

The decision to make the non-expandable storage – as they did on the other hand Galaxy S5 – is her because in memory UFS 2.0 . Compared to the Galaxy S5, improve the speed of writing and reading is awesome . In the sequential write test, the Galaxy S6 Edge does mark a speed of 139.08 MB / s, compared to the 24.2 reported by the Galaxy S5. The sequential read test revealed instead a speed of 314.87 MB / s, compared with 176.5 reported by the previous terminal. The random read test speaks for itself: 77.2 MB / s compared to just 13.7 of the Galaxy S5. The new memory UFS 2.0 proves therefore a good choice and convincing, despite not expandability.
