Samsung Galaxy S6: design

Samsung Galaxy S6: Screen
Of course, the main topic of discussion about this phone will be his curved screen . And this is exactly what will be: something to talk about. It will be something to show to friends at the pub but it’s hard to tell if there is something more than that. Samsung showed a couple of interesting uses of the curved screen in his presentation, but none of these is a “must have” for me. I also noticed that Swype is not the most fluid, but it could simply be a matter of habit.
The screen is fantastic. It has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 which means that it is ultra detailed and the Super AMOLED technology makes colors appear more vivid.
Samsung Galaxy S6: hardware
After a problem has become audience with the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 810, Samsung has included the chip Exynos 7420 octa-core 64-bit owner in Galaxy S6 Edge along with 3 GB of RAM DDR4, faster. What does this mean? You have all the power you need. It ‘hard to test these components in a situation like this, then we will wait a future review to assess whether the hardware keeps the promises of Samsung.

For the first time, Samsung has integrated a battery directly into the phone, which means that you can not replace the unit from 2600 mAh if there is a problem. The reason why Samsung has decided so is linked to the desire to include wireless charging.

Even more impressive, however, is the fact that Samsung has stated that to recharge Galaxy S6 it takes half the time to recharge the iPhone 6 and will be available four hours of use with a charge of 10 minutes.
If these promises were kept, it would be a huge bonus.

Samsung Galaxy S6: camera
Samsung has updated both the camera back to the front. The latter has a 5 MP sensor with f / 1.9. This feature, together with larger pixels, should ensure Selfie best in low light conditions. On the back is a 16 MP sensor, the same lens and an optical stabilizer.
To demonstrate the capabilities of the camera, Samsung has added pictures and video taken by an iPhone 6 Plus and although these examples should be taken with pliers, Galaxy S6 Edge behaved much better in low-light situations.
In the few images that are captured in the room for the demo, the camera seemed exceptional and the focus very fast.

A very convenient feature is the ability to double-press the Home key to start the camera, which is always on standby, within one second. I tested this feature and although it has taken more when the phone is locked, it works without problems.
Samsung Galaxy S6: Android and TouchWiz
Samsung has once again revised its TouchWiz interface on the surface of Android 5.0 Lollipop. The company said it had lightened his software so that it is more intuitive and less cumbersome. And ‘certainly less invasive, but still do not see the benefits compared to a stock version of Android.
Samsung not much has optimized the software, from what I saw, for the curved screen, but I imagine that as soon as developers begin to look at it we’ll see more apps that use it properly.
The Galaxy S6 Edge worth?
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the Galaxy S6 Edge . And ‘well done, as it is sleek and curved screen is mostly a “gem”, at least the phone apart from the huge number of devices on the market all the same.
I’m not sure that the curved screen adds something everyday experience, but it is certainly pleasing to the eye. I think you have to use your phone on a daily basis in order to assess whether the curved screen is a good thing or bad.
The addition of wireless charging and Samsung Pay will help the company to differentiate itself and as always is at the top when you comes to hardware. I like the Galaxy S6, but are not yet sure how much.
