Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, in 2015 could sell 55 … – Macity (Blog)

I am optimistic forecasts for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge: the company should sell 55 million Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in 2015

After the pre-orders of about 20 million units by the partner carrier for the Galaxy and the Galaxy S6 S6 Edge, analysts estimate that the two flagship smartphone company could sell very well in the current year giving Samsung breath that certainly needs a success after all the problems that its mobile business has faced in the past year.

A new report from Korea suggests that sales of the new flagship Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will exceed 55 million units in 2015. The report suggests that the specifications of the Galaxy advanced S6 and the updated design will be crucial to maintain high demand for the device throughout the year, unlike what happened with the previous Galaxy S5. No doubt the Galaxy S6 will face fierce competition, among which we can mention undoubtedly improved HTC One M9, and the next device from LG, which would present the G4 next month.

The competition with iPhone even for optimistic observers of the Korean market, it is still impossible. Even if that really managed to sell 54 million hoped, would sell less in eight months than Apple sold in three. Recall that Cupertino has sold over 74 million iPhones in the last quarter of 2014. Even just on quarter comparison is unfavorable: Samsung expects to sell 22.2 million units of the Galaxy and Galaxy S6 S6 Edge. In practical terms Galaxy sold in each quarter of the debut, Apple has sold three iPhone. In the second quarter there should be a reduction in sales of the Galaxy, to 16.2 million units in the fourth quarter while the company could end the year with 12.5 million units sold. At the moment Apple has not yet presented the sales results for the first quarter of 2015, according to the availability of the iPhone, but last year, Apple has sold nearly 44 million iPhone in the third quarter and 35 million.
