The color variant Gold Platinum is one of the most sought regarding the new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge . To meet the increasing demand of this product, Samsung have decided to increase production.
“Gold is the new black” , according to sales figures from Samsung, and about 23% of customers would choose this color that has become very difficult to find on the European market .
This is what was stated Conor Pierce, Vice President of IT and Mobile Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland:
For many years, black and white were the colors chosen by consumers. However, based on the initial feedback we are receiving from the market, consumers are becoming much more outgoing in their color preferences. Since Galaxy Galaxy S6 and S6 edge came on the market last month, we saw for the Gold Platinum a request similar to the more traditional options of color, Pearl White and Black Sapphire. We were surprised by the reaction of the market and we are intensifying the production of Gold Platinum models to keep up with demand.
According to the statement by psychologist Donna Dawson
The color ‘gold’ is the richness, abundance, ideals, optimism and wisdom. After a period of recession we are beginning to see some economic improvements, and we dare to hope for a better future. Now that we can see a light at the end of the tunnel we are instinctively inclined to the choice of gold.
After spending over two decades in the shadow of softer colors, there are a number of factors that indicate that gold is again the color that is reigning. Among these, there is also the growing presence of gold jewelry on the international catwalks and on ‘ red carpets ‘.
Donna Dawson explains the psychology behind each color choice. If you choose the gold tend to love the luxury and enjoy the finer things in life. These also tend to have strong intuition. White can represent wisdom, honesty and purity. Black is a color with double meaning. Historically it has been associated with aggression, and has always been the color chosen by the solitary, rebellious or “ strangers “. The person who chooses it seeks to be recognized for its individualism.
