Announced the Mobile World Congress , the new Innovator Gear VR Edition has been specifically optimized to work with the new flagship manufacturer and, thanks to continued collaboration with Oculus, there have been also some changes compared to the previous model, launched with Galaxy Note 4 .
The new Gear VR can handle a vision of up to 96 °, is equipped with three sensors – accelerometer, gyroscope and proximity sensor – and, compared to the first model, it has been integrated a microUSB port for charging of the device inserted and were reduced in size and weight.
Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition also comes with a integrated cooling fan that prevents the formation of condensation on the lenses and displays sharp images during playback and phases of the game.
Taking advantage of a level of pixel density higher with the new Galaxy S6, Samsung says the new Gear VR Innovator Edition is able to offer a cinematic experience without equal and greater involvement in movies and video games. Users can download additional content directly through the Oculus Store, while the link with smartphones is via microUSB.
