Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, beautiful outside and inside substantial – Hardware upgrade.it

This past first of March, at a press conference specially organized and in front of an audience of several thousand people, the Korean giant Samsung has officially announced the two devices top of the range for 2015. This is Galaxy Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge,
 the last two members of the family of terminals started back in 2010 with the first Galaxy S. It’s been 5 years and many generations of Galaxy S but the series is always the most important one and one that in one way or another attracts more attention by both insiders who regard the consumer audience.

 
 

In particular this year after 12 months of transition, due to a Galaxy S5 that has not had the desired effect on the market, Samsung had to force something innovate, indeed, surprising. Mission accomplished? The impression had in Barcelona in this regard had already been very good. The terminals are shown immediately very accurate in terms of aesthetic and even the news regarding the technical specifications have not lived up to expectations. But to give a more realistic and comprehensive judgment, we wanted to wait to have a copy of the two new top of the range in your hands for at least a few hours.

 

 

Since yesterday morning we’ve got a new Galaxy S6 in its Edge, or one with slightly curved sides of the display, and in the next lines we’ll tell you how it went this our first contact.

 

 

Let’s start from aesthetics, size and ergonomics. Undoubtedly the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a device capable of leaving gaping anyone look. This time it is virtually impossible to deny as the Korean manufacturer has been able to work with very good results to a particular design and eye-catching. The curved display provides a very unique feeling, but very pleasant to the eye and finish machined in detail S6 make Edge a design object certainly very interesting. Even the materials of construction do not leave this time the possibility of replication. Glass Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for both the front and the rear frame and a brushed aluminum are the elements that highlight the great leap forward compared to previous generations. In particular, as stated by Samsung, aluminum 6013 with which the frame is made and the internal structure of the new Galaxy, should be approximately 20% harder than aluminum 6063 used by the competition.

 

 

The size of this Galaxy S6 Edge are fairly small. There is talk of 142.1 mm in height to 70.1 in width and only 7 mm thick, all in 132 grams of weight. We have therefore a remarkably light weight and, in particular, narrow enough to allow us to hold it with one hand and be able to type in the whole width of the keyboard without any problem. The thickness of the shell decreases then further in conjunction of the two side edges in which we find the curved part of the display. This particular, with the body that is reduced in size up to about 3 mm allows a much firmer grip of any smartphone of equal size.

 

 

The second positive is given by the display. 5.1 inches is the length of the diagonal but to impress is definitely the pixel density. With a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, in fact, the display of S6 and S6 Edge has a density of over 570 ppi a value far superior to what perceptible by the human eye but that helps make this device more interesting. The display, as has become tradition is of type Super AMOLED but the difference this time is the ‘calibration.
