He’s about to break a new #bendgate , or at least that’s what would the analysis of SquareTrade, a company that offers insurance for smartphones in the US, and therefore is particularly interested in understanding which models are more resistant and which are not. So it’s an analysis conducted for purely utilitarian, but theoretically non-partisan, made with machinery that simulate the force which a smartphone is subjected when someone sits down with the phone in your back pocket.

The result? Galaxy S6 Edge and iPhone 6 Plus bend both 110 pound (50 kg), sin that “bend” in the case of S6 Edge, also means to break the glass in a lateral curvature, while iPhone 6 Plus has not exhibited the same problem. In any case, both smartphones have continued to function. Increasing the pressure, Galaxy S6 Edge has been rendered unusable by 149 pounds (67.5 kg) while breaking iPhone 6 Plus there took 179 (81 Kg).
In the test also includes a HTC One M9 , which has proven to be more resistant to bending yes (120 pound needed to bend it – about 55 Kg), sin that once bent the chassis, the power button is broken.
Assuming the authenticity test SquareTrade, the short #bendgate seems particularly true for S6 Edge, especially since it is also a smartphone far smaller iPhone 6 Plus, and then we would think more resistant to bending. Shame not to have values also Galaxy S6, because it would be interested to make a comparison between the two models of Samsung to understand how the curvature of the screen affects the result.
