The new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge have recently received certification of sustainability in four countries: USA, UK, Brazil and Russia. In the US, the two Galaxy have achieved the important Sustainability Product Certification (SPC) by the organization of certification and safety testing UL (Underwriters Laboratories) . As reported by Samsung,
The device “meet a set of criteria with regard to toxic materials, energy efficiency, recyclability of the product and packaging, as well as social responsibility practices by the producer”
In the UK, got a “Measured CO2 Label” from Carbon Trust , while Brazil and Russia have received certification Vitality Leaf . Like other Samsung devices, including the new Galaxy S6 have sales packaging made from 100% recycled paper and printed with soy ink. In addition, 20% of the plastic used for the charger comes from recycled plastic .
Galaxy S6 and S6 Galaxy edge will be available from next April 10 in Italian versions 32GB and 64GB.
