Samsung Galaxy S6: Here’s how to update it with the new Touchwiz – Androidiani.com (Blog)

A few days ago we talked about the new update for the Samsung Galaxy S6, it intended both to variant flat-rate plans Edge, update that will bring the new version of TouchWiz view of the new Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Plus .

The update, however, contrary to what is suggested, would already be rolling out in some European countries for the international version with the designation SM-G920F .

If you are eager to try new stuff, including Live Broadcast from the camera and the new applications UHQ upscaler and Vacuum Tube Amp Pro, here is a simple guide to follow, simply by using the Odin and above without affecting – the counter – Knox and then without voiding the warranty.

Important: The following guide has been tested successfully on version Flat but it should also work for Edge version.

  1. First download and install (if not have them already) drivers for the PC and the Odin this link
  2. Now download the firmware from the link to the French version of Flat and the link to the version Edge and the extract to obtain a file with MD5;
  3. Turn off the phone and holding down Vol – and Home , turn on the taking down the Power . At the next screen press Vol + to enable Download Mode
  4. At this point we open Odin and AP select the file. MD5 from step 2;  Capture
  5. We connect the phone to a PC as soon as the program has ended for the checking of the file click on START
  6. When finished the phone will reboot and then, from the menu Settings , we have to choose Backup and Restore & gt; Restoring Data Factory . Beware that doing so will lose the entire contents of the phone;
  7. The next time, after reconfiguring the device with the Samsung account, should arrive via OTA update with the new TouchWiz .

If all goes well, the result should be the following:
