The last phablet by Samsung is bound to clash with the oversized smartphone Apple. Here in what are different, and what not

For the first time since the debut of the Galaxy Note, the phablet Samsung are faced with an opponent threatening: the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. The Korean, however, has prepared its new Galaxy S6 edge Plus knowing that confrontation was inevitable: the result is two devices more similar to each other than you might think.
Both are hypertrophic versions of their flagship smartphone, and this they are modeled on the physical aspect . Giving preference to this point of view is a matter of taste, but one thing is undeniable: the progress made by Samsung in the design of its latest generation of products make the Korean contender finally live up to a comparison on equal terms with Cupertino .
The materials used are glass and aluminum for both , the presence of a home button with fingerprint reader is in town, but otherwise the two Plus undertook roads different. Samsung has even managed to squeeze a larger display into a more compact body .
And the screen is the other major factor that separates the two smartphones. Galaxy S6 Plus edge mounts a unit Quad HD Super AMOLED 5.7 “curved sides with pixel density of 518 ppi .

The rival iPhone 6 Plus is stopped in a diagonal of 5.5 “and a resolution of Full HD, a combination that provides a pixel density, still great, of 401 ppi.
Talk about processors and RAM it makes little sense, since the operating systems on board of the two contenders are incomparable. The additional RAM on board the Samsung serves to manage in large part a work environment (Android) much less optimized for the phablet compared to Korean than it is IOS for devices manufactured by Apple. Suffice to say that both products are designed to provide stellar performance in all conditions . And with the silicon they carry on board (Exynos 7420 Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Apple iPhone A8 6 Plus) there are no problems.
It makes more sense then talk for example cameras, a sector that is proving more and more decisive in the choice of an object such by consumers.

On paper, the phablet Samsung features a 16 megapixel sensor with optically stabilized lens aperture f / 1.9, while the opponent Apple boasts an 8-megapixel sensor and lens, always stabilized , aperture f / 2.2. Fortunately the combination sensor target aboard Galaxy edge S6 Plus is the same already present in the smartphone version, that evaluations of DxOMark give as the best on the market . That of the iPhone 6 Plus however follows a very tight turn.
Another area in which the two giants are set to go head to head is the mobile payments : is the iPhone that the Galaxy are the first phablet to integrate technology access to their platforms.
Fingerprint Sensor, security chip and NFC module to communicate with stations of the stores are standard on both products but neither Apple nor Samsung Pay Pay have yet debuted in Italy. And there is not even a date set for the arrival: Samsung will begin operations in Korea in August and September in the US, while Apple is already active there for months and July is also present in the UK. Anyone wishing to base his next purchase on this aspect will still better to wait.
The other details can be considered marginal, but someone could still make a difference. On the one hand, for example, there is the problem of the board memory , since neither phablet has a slot for microSD cards. Apple is here to take home the scepter: his iPhone can hold up to 128GB of data, compared to 64GB maximum offered by rivals. Remains to be seen how many will actually need all this space and be willing to pay so handsomely.
On the other side there is battery : iPhone 6 Plus hosts a units by 2915 mAh, while Galaxy S6 Edge Plus it boasts a 3000 mAh round. The difference is infinitesimal and, on paper, will be played throughout the optimization and performance everyday.
But on technical comparisons and matters of personal preference which you can build around the two devices, hovers the great unknown of the price : The list Apple we know it, while Samsung currently has remained buttoned. To find out if the elegant edge and overpowering S6 Plus will have on his side the decisive factor quality / price’ll have to wait.
