Remember the vulnerability in Stagefright ? The exploit was discovered by Zimperium and allowed to infect a smartphone by simply sending an MMS. Google and Samsung today also move a big step in protecting users, releasing the first updates for Nexus 5, 6 Nexus, Galaxy S6, S6 edge Galaxy, Galaxy Note and Galaxy S5 edge to protect users.
Of course, it is a limited slice of users, but in the meantime means that Google has already implemented a fix and passed to the producers, who now have to release the update. For Nexus the new build is the LMY48I, while S5 is XXU1POGx, where x is the final for a number / letter depending on the country / provider. Finally, S6 should be XXU2BOGx.
Most likely then upgrade to Vodafone S6 edge of which we have spoken before also solves Stagefright. We will keep you informed on any other updates to fix this bug.
