There are less than three months to the presentation of the Galaxy Note 5 that, unless changes to the program, will be held at IFA 2015 in Berlin. The new top of the range family notes is highly anticipated by fans and could be one of the best Android products of all time. If in fact the Galaxy S6 is universally known to be extremely balanced, powerful, fast and with one of the best cameras in addition to a choice of materials convincing, the battery is the real Achilles’ heel.
Notes 5, thanks to its larger, should eliminate the problem independently without affecting all the known characteristics of the Galaxy S6. Today, however, we want to try to make it real this Phablet but not with pictures or concept but with probable and possible specifications.
5 Galaxy Note will be the first mobile device of the Korean manufacturer to have 4GB of memory RAM in order to exploit all the potential of the new multitasking and windowing. Processor and Camera will not change compared to S6 although it is not ruled out a change or a clock revision of the already powerful Exynos 7420 (in fact, however, the architecture will be the same). Instead there may be a surprise in terms of the USB connector. If Notes 4 with the USB 3.0 has been abandoned, with notes 5 could reach the long awaited USB Typc-C. This would be a new but very important if we consider the possibilities and the future Android update M which obviously come about Note 5 (and beyond).
The most difficult to speculate concerns ‘aesthetics and in particular expandability and materials. Note 5 will not have a removable battery, and should have a battery of less than 3500mAh. Furthermore, although in general will resume many elements of the Galaxy S6 for structure and design, the rear may be different and according to some information related to prototypes (therefore the output variables from here), Note 5 could have a taper to edges in the rear. In practice a bit ‘as HTC One M9.
This difference however should not change the presence of glass Gorilla Glass 4 also in the back of Note 5. According to the same indication, some prototypes of Note 5 would two slots side, one for the SIM and one perhaps for the SD . As for the display, Edge but no version 5 notes will be flat only because of the arrival of the Galaxy S6 Plus display with Edge largest. Just the display will always be a qHD with a size almost identical to the Notes 4 but with better quality. Weight and size are still slightly lower.
Finally the pen . It will always be capacitive and supports Wacom and accuracy even higher. Would still both S Pen in development: a classic and one with two function keys that allow two different types of interaction. It is unclear whether both will be marketed, perhaps as an accessory, or whether one will replace the other. No “certainty” about the system of automatic exit of S-Pen from the slot.
This pretty much the possible framework for Galaxy Note 5 and a rough idea of what could come in September at IFA 015. Obviously if some information is part of rumor known or easy to make assumptions, but other details are to be attributed to new prototypes being evaluated. Samsung and many other companies often change appearance, dimensions and details of the products pending the final design that will not be revealed if you do not close the presentation. So for now, take it all with the benefit of the doubt and not as a certainty.
