The latest rumors indicate that Samsung is working on a new version of Galaxy Grand Prime called Galaxy Grand Prime Value Edition, which should arrive with Android 5.1 Lollipop. Surely, it is a wrong move because the original Grand Prime was introduced only in October. While waiting to find out further information, today will compare this device with the Galaxy S4 Mini , released in July 2013.
Display and Processor
The two Galaxy are characterized by the same display resolution of 960 × 540 pixels (qHD), which ranks first high definition. The Galaxy Grand Prime has a TFT panel 5-inch with 220 pixels per inch while the Galaxy S4 Mini consists of a diagonal lower, that is 4.3 inches, but is equipped with technology Super AMOLED , a pixel density of 256 and protection Corning Gorilla Glass of the second generation. Samsung has used two SoC belonging to the famous range Snapdragon produced by Qualcomm, but offer different performance. Sull’S4 Mini are the Snapdragon 400 CPU with dual-core 1.7 GHz and Adreno 305 GPU while on Grand Prime we find the evolution of the latter called Snapdragon 410 chipset made with 64-bit architecture. It has a CPU quad-core 1.2 GHz and is supported by the graphics card Adreno 306.
RAM, internal storage and cameras
The filing offered by the two smartphones from Samsung is the same and so we have 8 GB with the added ability to increase memory using the support supplied docking up to a maximum of 64 GB. The RAM , however, is different than 500 MB: 1.5 GB version of the Galaxy S4 Mini and 1 GB on Prime variant of Galaxy Grand. Coming to the magazine photo, the two Galaxy propose a primary camera of 8 megapixel with flash LED and autofocus can capture movies in Full HD and the front is different because we have a 5 megapixels on the Galaxy Grand Prime and a 1.9 on the Galaxy S4 Mini.
Weight, thickness, OS and battery
The Galaxy S4 Mini, as the name suggests , shows a very compact design and a weight of only 107 g against 156 g from the other device, but the thickness is in favor of the Grand Prime since it is thin 8.6 mm against 8.9 mm. For the Galaxy S4 Mini, Samsung is not planning the roll-out to Android Lollipop and then remain running the current Android 4.4.2 KitKat , while the Galaxy Grand first running version 4.4.4 KitKat, although the network has appeared smartphone with running Android 5.0 Lollipop . In conclusion, we find inside two batteries which differ in capacity of 700 mAh: 2600 mAh and 1900 mAh on Grand Prime sull’S4 Mini.
