Ben two years ago, LG unveiled a smartphone called G2 at that time offered the advanced features that can compete with the different flagships on the market, such as the Galaxy S4′s Samsung ( visas compared in a recent article ). Today, we will discover the hardware features and differences with other Samsung device called Galaxy S5 , the former flagship for excellence resistant to water and dust.
Display and processor
The two flagships are characterized by a display very similar because we have a diagonal nearly identical (5.1 on the Galaxy S5 and 5.2 on G2) and Full HD resolution to display crisp, detailed images. In addition, LG and Samsung have used two different generations of protection Gorilla Glass of Corning: second smartphone LG and the third of that of Samsung. RAM, internal storage and cameras
The first two common characteristics we find in the storage space 16GB and memory RAM 2 GB. The fifth generation of the Galaxy S features also support expansion through micro SD up to 128 GB which is missing on the G2, but at least LG has released to market a version with 32 GB of internal memory. Speaking of the photo department, we have a different configuration of the cameras, although we share the flash LED: sull’S5 is a 16 megapixel back with phase detection autofocus and the ability to record movies in 4K and a front-facing 2 while on G2 have a main 13 with autofocus and optical image stabilizer can record video in Full HD and a secondary 2.1.
Weight, thickness, OS and battery
The two top of the range of LG and Samsung have pretty much the same design, and then we have a thickness of 8.1 mm and a weight of 145 g on the Galaxy S5 and 8.9 mm and 143 g on G2. Both smartphones can be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop , but both companies are working on a possible update to version 5.1. Apart from this, there are user interfaces TouchWiz UI on the Galaxy S5 and Optimus UI on the G2. Finally, we have 200 mAh of difference between the two batteries: 2800 mAh removable device on Samsung and non-removable 3000 mAh of the LG.
