Recall, Galaxy Note 7, real-world data and surveys – Want …

The Galaxy Note 7 is supposed to be the main competitor of the new iPhone 7, but by now, everyone knows what happened on the 2nd of September. the Samsung has launched a recall campaign due to concerns related to overheating and explosion of the built-in battery in the phablet. The Korean manufacturer has now released some data that shows the loyalty of our customers. Two surveys carried out in the United States draw, however, a slightly dierent picture.

The replacement of the phablet with a defective battery varies from country to country, but in all cases provides for the return of the old unit. An executive from Samsung has declared to be honoured by the loyalty of the customers towards the Galaxy Note 7, despite the serious problem found at the end of August. Approximately 90% of users has chosen a new Galaxy Note 7, and more than 60% of the units sold in the United States and South Korea have been replaced. In Singapore, where the recall campaign began on 17 September, the percentage reached 80%.

The manufacturer has again called on the remaining 10% of users to switch off and return the smartphone, which will be immediately replaced with a similar model working perfectly. Overall, it should be substituted 2,5 million Galaxy Notes 7 in 10 countries. In Italy, the sale will start not before the end of November, as in other european countries.

according to a survey conducted by Branding Brand on a sample of 1,000 people, 34% of respondents said that will no longer buy Samsung smartphone. 57% said they will buy another Android device, while 34% will switch to iOS. According to another survey, conducted by SurveyMonkey on a sample of 500 users, only 18% will accept a Galaxy Note 7 new. The 35% will ask for a full refund, the 21% will choose another Samsung model and the 26% will buy an iPhone.
