Better iPhone 7 Plus or Samsung Galaxy Note 7? – GQ.com

For the first time in the history of Apple , iPhone 7 Plus is far superior to the younger brother. If so far the sales were dominated by the basic model, the addition of the double camera on the extra-large version should change the cards on the table. In the keynote presentation yesterday, one of the most anticipated announcements was just one regarding the dual camera: besides the classic camera at wide dell ‘ iPhone 7 , the Plus will also have a telephoto lens with the same resolution. A change, not just, but considerably improves photographic performance than one version over the other, proving that – perhaps – Apple has decided to focus more on the Plus.

On the other hand, the evolution of the smartphone market shows that users are looking for phones with increasingly large and have the best possible photographic industry – as also highlighted the analysis of the Italian market made by Mobilens comScore – so it is no coincidence that Phil Schiller , vice president of Apple’s marketing sector, he held to stress on the stage of the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco that this is the best room ever made by Apple.

Cupertino needs a boost from sales of the new iPhone 7:07 Plus to consolidate their results and chase Samsung for the distinction of best-selling smartphone in the world. For this reason, the most formidable opponent is just the Galaxy Note 7 , announced a month ago and already available in stores, despite being in the middle of a hornet’s nest of controversy because of faulty battery (it was potentially explosive) which caused a global recall of 2.5 million devices. We see the iPhone 7 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 compared.

Display and Processor
With qHD Super AMOLED screen 5.7 inches with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, the 7 notes can rely on HDR video streaming offering brighter colors and a deeper black. Below the display there is an Octa-core processor with 4 GB of RAM and a 64 GB internal memory (expandable with microSD up to 256 GB), used to manage Android Marshmallow. The smartphone of Apple has a 5.5-inch Retina HD display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels that hides the new A10 Fusion processor, quad core with integrated coprocessor M10 movement, which fully integrates the high performance – with speeds up to two times higher than the iPhone 6 – and energy efficiency, saving up to one third compared to the iPhone 6S Plus energy. Three cuts memory: 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB, although one of the highlights Apple is undoubtedly the operating system: iOS 10, which enables the seamless integration between hardware and software. Both devices are resistant to water and dust.

Cameras
The Notes 7 has two cameras: one for selfies and a 5 MP rear with a sensor 12 megapixels and wide focal opening, but mainly focuses on Dual Pixel technology for maximum color fidelity and fast auto focus than the human eye in order to have clear, beautiful images. The iPhone 7 Plus has a dual front room with two 12-megapixel sensors with 4 LED Flash: a wide angle and a telephoto lens capable of providing an optical zoom and 2x digital zoom up to 10x; while for the selfie it has a new 7-mp camera with automatic image stabilization and the ability to CALENDAR movies in HD. Both devices can record motion pictures – Live Photos for Apple, Motion Photo Samsung – and they both light up the screen to get the flash also for selfies.

Battery
Samsung has included a 3500 mAh battery and a type C USB port for fast charging with either the wire or wireless, while Apple has not disclosed the information on the feeder although he noted that this is the device with the greater autonomy of the brand’s history. Thanks to the architecture of the processor is able to save up to 1 hour of battery life more than the iPhone 6s Plus, but will have to wait to have it in your hands to get further confirmation.

What more the Samsung Galaxy Note 7
the two differences that stand out in the eyes are the S Pen – the Korean nib, for example, the Always on Memo function allows you to take notes without having to unlock the screen – and the ability to unlock the device with iris recognition. Then there is the slot for microSD (which provide extra memory to 256 GB), wireless charging and dual-edge curvature permit use even easier with one hand, the rest think the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in defense of shock and falls. The price starts from 879 €.

What has more iPhone 7 Plus
First, the dual camera that seems to provide the opportunity to make beautiful pictures, then the dual stereo speakers (two under the Home button and one in the top of the phone) and no longer has the audio jack for headphones, replaced by the Lightning connector. The possibility to use iOS and Siri 10 – also open to app developers – are another strong point: the former are built especially for the iPhone, Android Marshmallow is designed for hundreds of smartphones and each one tries to adapt to the best. The price starts from 919 €.
