According to Corning, the maker of the particular type of glass, Gorilla Glass 5 is the most resistant glass from those available on the market. It can for example withstand drops of a maximum of 1.6 meters in 80% of cases even on hard surfaces, whereas the previous version had the same success rate at a height of 1 meter. A feature of this type is without doubt very important on a smartphone as Samsung Galaxy Note7 , both for its size (a larger device tends to slide more easily) than for its special design . The phablet has a symmetrical form factor with two glass slabs arranged “sandwich” within a metal structure.
