The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) is the upgrade of a very successful model. Presents in a more compact version of the acclaimed design of the Galaxy S6. PRO : precious materials; excellent design; excellent quality panel, compact size. v : slightly too high a price; erratic performance; very slippery. VERDICT : the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) is a valuable 4.7-inch smartphone, ideal for those who look first of all sizes. The price, however, makes it uncompetitive compared to other smartphones on the market.
Overview
A line of Samsung arrives in its second incarnation with versions 2016. The South Korean company confirmed the design, essentially unchanged: aluminum frame, glass front and behind virtually no plastic – if you ignore the buttons for the volume and activation. In fact it is more or less a Galaxy S6 miniature , since the screen has a 4.7-inch resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016), MS A310F, is then a product that meets those consumers who do not want a “frying pan”, ie a smartphone 5 inch or more. Not for this renunciation of many qualities, such as materials, assembly or newer hardware.
Estetica
As we mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) Galaxy S6 seems as much a miniature. 4 Gorilla Glass front and back , a beautiful aluminum frame all around and a very high quality assembly through which the Galaxy A3 (2016) gives an impression of solidity in the hands.
As with the glass, however, the Galaxy S6 is rather slippery . The Galaxy A3 (2016) it never fell during the days we used it before writing this review. But I had the constant feeling that he was about to slip, and this made me stronger unconsciously tighten his grip. The small size help to compensate for this problem, but it is a smartphone with little grip .
In fact it is more or less a Galaxy S6 miniature .
The aluminum frame also seems very resistant: the specimen we tested came with two small signs, but there is no indication that it was particularly mistreated. The metal, if anything, can enjoy even with a look “lived in.”
The buttons are placed on the two long sides: on the right one for the activation, to the left two separate buttons for volume. They are all fairly easy to reach. The top is completely clear, while below we find the jack for headphones, microUSB port and grille that hides the individual speaker. On the right side there is also the drawer that houses a nano SIM card and the MicroSD .
On the front we two relatively thin right and left frames, and also above and below the space not occupied by the screen is relatively small. At the top we have the audio shoe, centrally the 5 MP camera with two “bullets left,” which are the sensor for the ambient light and the LED that acts as a front flash – it does not serve as an indicator for notifications .
All in all a nice design, at least if you like the Samsung Galaxy S6. The precision of the project is certainly improved, but again is an amazing quality if you think about what did Samsung up to 18 months ago.
