Compare Android: Samsung Galaxy S6 challenge the Sony Xperia Z5 – Blasting News

After the comparison with the Huawei P8, we compare the Galaxy S6 Samsung with just arrived Sony Xperia Z5 . Sony has decided this year to renew its range of top of the line every six months, differently than other companies that release their products with an annual basis, presenting the new range of Xperia devices Z5. Let’s find out what are the differences compared to the 5.2-inch model from Sony.

Design, materials and sizes:

The Samsung Galaxy S6 has measurements of 143.3 x 70.5 x 6.8 mm thick and weighs 138 grams . The phone has a unibody made entirely of aluminum for the frame and glass for the rear. As for the Sony, however, it was decided to continue the road taken in the far 2013 with the output of the first device Xperia, presenting a smartphone also made of metal for the frame and glass for the back coating (glass that this time is realized differently than in the past, but in fact it is no longer reflective opaque). This too is certified Xperia Z5 IP68 to resist 1.5 meters under water for about 30 minutes . The measures of the smartphone are 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm for a weight of 154 grams .

The size is therefore slightly in favor of the Samsung; holding both devices, the difference of approximately 15 grams of weight a bit ‘feels. In addition, the Sony with this particular embodiment of the rear glass, albeit very nice and pleasant to the touch, makes the phone extremely slippery despite the use of the same materials. Its expandable memory is available only on Sony (up to 200GB ).

Display, camera, and battery prices online:

The Samsung mounts unit from 5.1 inches SuperAmoled resolution QHD 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 577ppi . The quality excels both in normal conditions of use, both as regards the direct vision under the light of the sun, due to the ability of the display to become almost fluorescent when hit by solar rays. Very good whites (with a quality very similar to the IPS display and LCD) and blacks that being an Amoled are absolute because the pixels are off. There is still a tendency to saturate the colors, although this characteristic of AMOLED has been greatly reduced over the years especially by Samsung. The display is mounted on a drive from Sony 5.2-inch IPS LCD resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 424ppi . A display altogether balanced, blacks do not disappoint though they are not as deep as those of Samsung.

The cameras used on the Samsung is a 16 megapixels, with focal opening f / 1.9 accompanied by a single LED flash and optical stabilization, and a front facing camera to 5 megapixel can capture a good amount of light in the evening. The video recording is pushed to the 4K 30fps . Sony uses a rear camera owned by 23 megapixel which greatly enhances the opportunities of the previous 20.7-megapixel. The focal opening is f / 1.8 and is present as the Galaxy S6 focus fast. The front sensor is a unit from 5 megapixel and video recording supports 4K up to 60 fps . The quality of the shots of the Sony is excellent but is still slightly lower than the photographic capabilities of the Samsung. Unlike photos, videos are better on the Sony, thanks to a perfect stabilization.

The battery mounted on the Samsung it has a capacity of 2550 mAh , which allows you to reach the end of day only use medium / low; while Sony has one of the 2900 mAh , which guarantees a longer life than his rival. It must say that the Samsung has a power-saving mode more effective. The best price online for the Samsung is 439 € ; while 539 € for the Sony Xperia Z5.
