Samsung ready to lower the price of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge – International Business Times Italian

Presenting its financial forecasts for the second quarter of 2015, Samsung announced an undefined “price adjustment” to its current flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Galaxy . It is a move aimed at ensuring continuity of sales in an increasingly competitive market.

“It is anticipated that the division IT & amp; Mobile Communications (IM) will face a difficult environment in the market”, says the report. “The momentum in sales for high-end products will be maintained with a price adjustment of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge , and introducing new models of smartphones top range”.

It is still unclear what will be the net price cut for S6 and S6 Edge, nor when this cut will be made effective, even though the latter is possible to speculate: it is not unreasonable to assume that the two top range will be made cheaper in conjunction with the launch of the Galaxy Note and the Galaxy 5 S6 Edge Plus , two devices of which we have spoken very often, and that should be presented close to the IFA in Berlin, which will be held between 4 and 9 September.

Among the various companies that make Android smartphones, Samsung is probably the one that has suffered most from the growth of various Chinese companies that, guided from giants like Huawei, Xiaomi and Oppo, they are eroding slices increasingly significant market thanks to high-level devices offered at a competitive price. Make cheaper their flagship products could therefore prove to be a winning move for the South Korean company.
