Samsung Galaxy Note 5, announcement on August 12? | Webnews – Webnews

The announcement of the Galaxy Note 5 will take place on August 12 , with sales commencing in major markets starting from August 21. This is obviously unconfirmed information from Samsung , but still in line with the anticipated launch that the Korean manufacturer was planned to avoid the “clash” with the new iPhone 6S. The same date would be chosen for the presentation of the Galaxy S6 edge + .

The Galaxy Note phablet series have always been the most popular products among those announced at IFA in Berlin. But this year the Unpacked event will not take place in the German capital. Samsung would in fact organized a keynote for the 12 August in a city not specified. It provides a great audience participation, as the Korean manufacturer should present Galaxy Note 5 , the Galaxy S6 edge + and the mobile payment service Samsung Pay , a competitor to Android and Apple Pay Pay.

As for the Galaxy Note 5 , the latest information confirms the absence of the microSD slot and the use of materials premium (glass and aluminum) for the frame, which will have a very small thickness. The fifth generation of the phablet will also be the first model with Samsung 4 GB of RAM . The other specifications provide a 5.7-inch HD display Quad, octa core processor Exynos 7422, 32/64/128 GB of flash memory and of course the famous S Pen stylus.

Galaxy S6 edge + (so far known as Galaxy S6 edge Plus) will have the same design of the Galaxy S6 edge, but a screen of 5.7 inches. Instead of Snapdragon processor 808, the phablet will integrate a Exynos 7420, flanked by 3 GB of RAM. The small differences between the two smartphones and the launch in tandem could pose a huge risk to Samsung.

The early submission of the Galaxy Note 5 was decided to avoid clashing with the iPhone 6S. But the media attention and users would face the Galaxy S6 + edge. The Korean manufacturer will no longer give the “blame” for Apple, if sales of the new models will be lower than expected.
