I met with some surprise announcement by Samsung, which in these hours has lifted the veil on the first representatives of the family “ A Galaxy “. I refer first to the Samsung Galaxy A5 , which on balance is the flagship of this series to date, but from where I admit that I would have expected a lot more.
Considering that we are talking about a device whose list price was set at 449 € , the hardware equipment in my opinion was to present the highest values for specific items. Emblematic that, in the search for similar devices from the point of view of the technical details, it is not easy to find differences even at Samsung Galaxy S3 , which was launched on the market two and a half years ago.
Just think of the Samsung Galaxy A5 processor, since we are talking of a chip quad-core 1.2 GHz, backed by 2 GB of RAM. What the Samsung Galaxy S3 is a quad core 4 1.4 GHz Exynos and if the European version of the device can only count on 1 GB of RAM, that the market in the United States comes just 2 GB.
Same size for the screen (5 inches the newly arrived, the 4.8-inch Galaxy S3), while the Samsung Galaxy A5 will come with the operating system on the market Kit Kat Android 4.4 on board. Unfortunately, for reasons I still feel very good, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will always be a step back from this point of view.
Best not to open the brackets on the price, since, as I mentioned, that of Samsung Galaxy A5 settles at about 449 euro, while the Samsung Galaxy S3 has fallen well below the 200 €, referring to the best deals on the Web.
