Samsung Galaxy A5 makes a few more steps than the Galaxy A3 . The diagonal screen size goes up to 5 inches as well as the resolution, stop at 1280 x 720. According to the official announcement, but the mid-range integrates a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, probably the same as the Galaxy A3. Improves the resolution of the rear camera, 13 MP, while the front remains the same proposal.

The built-in Wi-Fi antenna supports 802.11a than the low end. Finally, were introduced 2 GB of RAM and a 2,300 mAh battery. In the face of the display and a bigger battery, salt the weight: 130 g. Were not announced prices of the two devices, the marketing of which will begin in November “in select markets including China.”

Both devices seem elegant, even more than the top of the range Galaxy S5. Samsung has denied of having to shift gears after the disappointing results registered in the third quarter of 2014 (July-September). Particularly in the budget end of the market, the company in Seoul struggle to find the space you need to generate profits for two main reasons: competition from giants such as Lenovo and Xiaomi China, now the world’s third largest producer, and the poor quality of its low-end catalog, composed mainly of smartphones that drive as the top of the range (such as S4 Galaxy Mini and Galaxy Mini S5) without offering an experience on par with the price offered.

For the near future, also, Samsung could do without profit or at least reduce the financial expectations . Cheap terminal market but also with a significant hardware, in fact, reduces the profit margin per device due to higher production costs for components with higher quality. A strategy which, however, could clean up the image of the South Korean company in the long term.
