Review Samsung Galaxy Note 5 – Tom’s Hardware

Samsung made Galaxy Note more like the products of the Galaxy S, equipping it with a more refined software and a new and improved S Pen. The lack of a removable battery and SD Card in many will not like it, but it’s definitely a great phone.

PRO : great new design; easier to handle than the previous model; outstanding camera; S Pen improved.

v : speaker disappointing; the rear window is slightly slippery; very expensive; could do regret those who bought a Galaxy S.

VERDICT : The Samsung Galaxy 5 is an exceptional product in virtually all respects. To design and dimensions resumes the excellent aesthetics of the latest Galaxy S6, the S Pen renewed works even better, and has an excellent camera. It is worth to buy it, even considering its high price, lack of SD card and the battery is not removable.

Introduction

The first Samsung Galaxy Note was a niche product, but with each new update has become more and more an object of widespread , or perhaps are the products “mass” that have become gradually more similar to the Galaxy Note. In any case, the Galaxy Note 5 is the most representative of this trend, and takes many of its design elements and specifications directly from the Galaxy S6, which is the model that historically is that with the increased use.

Note 5 indeed has a new look and a design that takes advantage of plenty of metal and glass, and the size has been reduced to make it easier to grip, with a beautiful screen and a sensor d ‘ fingerprints convenient and fast. And of course we find the well-known S Pen. So many improvements, but two things have been eliminated: the removable battery and microSD card slot, which until now had been the pillars of the Galaxy Note.

Even more so then we can say that The Galaxy Note is no longer a niche product . It is meant to please many people, and this also means shaking off functions used by only a few in favor of a subject that will appeal to a wider audience. Make a phone more universal without compromising quality, however, it can sometimes be difficult. But Samsung has tried to avoid mistakes with the notes 5. We will see in the following pages what is the result.

This review was written by Andrew Martonik after a week with the notes 5 32 GB. We used it in conjunction with the headset Bluetooth Samsung Level U, and the software has been updated once a version N920CXXU1AOH2, not just received the notes 5.

The review has occupied the chief editor of Android Central Phil Nickson, who used a 5 Notes with Verizon (N920VVRU1A0GI) for a few days, and that added some of his reflections in this text.
