residents complained: “We do not feel safe,”
BOLOGNA – After months of political fighting very hard, the controversial history of the buildings occupied by street Fioravanti and De Maria street approaches a turning point. The City Council has accepted the amount requested by Inail for the former residence of the Galaxy via Fantin. Palazzo d’Accursio considered a good one payment of EUR 280,000 a year for rent by the welfare of the 75 apartments in the building area where blades will be transferred most of the 270 occupants of Via Fioravanti and 60 tenants of squatters Via De Maria. And on occupations yesterday intervened Undersecretary to the Prime Minister Cosimo Ferri, in town for an event of Bee-Confedilizia, with words that seem to support Merola: “The rules must be respected, but we must understand human situations,” he said.
AGREEMENT – The residence will be available to the City in the coming days. But it remains more of a doubt about the award criteria. The mayor assured that the houses of Via Fantin will go only to those requirements. Among the requirements, he assured Merola, will not be considered sufficient status (former) occupant. In short, we must demonstrate a real state of necessity. Merola wants to reassure that part of the city believe that the allocation of the Galaxy occupants can become a giant commercial for lawlessness intended to encourage new occupations. But hardly the City would acquire the Galaxy if he had to be placed in some way the squatters via Fioravanti and De Maria.
RESIDENTS – Yesterday, a group of residents via Fantin went to town to show their opposition to the new arrivals. “We fear for our safety,” said one resident, requesting anonymity. “I’d like to understand if the residence will go homeless Italians or foreigners who occupy,” she added another. The residents, backed by adviser Together Bologna Manes Bernardini, were received by the Department Welfare Amelia Frascaroli and President of Navile, Daniele Ara. Eventually, Frascaroli tried to calm things down: “It is legitimate in these times that people are afraid.” As a council, however, “we are sure that we will establish good relations.”
L ‘COUNCILLOR – Frascaroli traced so the profile of the new residents of the Galaxy will apply “all those who have had or have an eviction in Bologna.” The course will cover via Fantin but also the structures of road and street Battiferro Roncaglio. No fast track for the occupants, therefore, but also no veto. “If it does request a family with two children and mother with cancer – said the commissioner – the fact that he occupied for me takes second place. Then he thinks the magistrate. ” And then: “All will pay and those who do not pay after a while ‘is taken out. The contribution will be decided situation to situation. ” Frascaroli added that the stable to be allocated to the paths of “protective housing” there will be others, “We have other dealings with government agencies.” Citizens have appeared dissatisfied. Bernardini pessimistic: “This affair will turn into a” time bomb. ” In 2015, the number of foreclosures remains high executive decided by the Court of Bologna. According Confedlizia, in the first half they were 570: trend in line with the 1,100 of 2014.
