Alpha Galaxy has been a harbinger of the future of Samsung. The smartphone, the first with metal finish in the recent history of the company in Seoul, may in fact be the beginning of a new era for South Koreans terminals, starting with the Galaxy Note 4, equipped with a metal frame, up to the Galaxy S6 that could have an all metal design, according to the latest rumors.

The sources within the production line of Samsung are clear: there is a good chance that the Galaxy S6 will be the first Samsung device to be made completely in Metal . The same Galaxy Note 4, which should be presented on the eve of the IFA in Berlin, could have a metal frame, just like the recently announced Galaxy Alpha.
Why, at this point, do not realize immediately a smartphone only in metal? Why Samsung has not yet found a supplier able to support the launch of a new smartphone massively. Apple keeps tight the major suppliers of metal shells of Taiwan, such as Foxconn and Catcher Holdings Castek. A situation that obliges Samsung to evaluate the companies operating in China in order to obtain a good number of shells in metal.
The problem, however, arises when BYD Electronics. Janus and Everwin Precision, the main factories in metal shells in China, they can not provide, together with more than one million units per month . A number too low to ensure a Samsung the ability to market a new range-topping all-metal avoiding shortage of inventory already in the first few days.
The most likely hypothesis, at least in the present state of things, is the launch of two variants of Galaxy S6 : The main polycarbonate shell (and maybe metal frame) and the second completely made of metal. The latter, however, would be sold in limited numbers and at the highest price, just because of the shortcomings of quantitative suppliers that Samsung would rely. It is still preliminary speculations and that may not be reflected in the near future.
