Samsung has received a lot of criticism in recent months, especially after the arrival of phones like the HTC One M8 and the Sony Xperia Z2. These phones have a design to the next level and their desire to offer top quality materials has been appreciated by many. Samsung, however, has relied on polycarbonate materials for its phones, even on high-end ones. The Alpha Galaxy is a phone that attempts to change this.
Display
The philosophy of design of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is perhaps not significantly different than its predecessors. It has the same single physical button which is flanked by touch-sensitive keys. An advantage of this design is that the entire display from 4.7 inches is available to the user, rather than a small part of the fund devoted to the on-screen buttons, like on many Android phones per day d ‘present day. The display uses the same technology Super AMOLED and thanks to its slightly smaller dimensions, is able to support 720p resolution. Even with this resolution has a pixel density similar to that of the iPhone 5S.
Material
The biggest change on the Galaxy Alpha compared to other Samsung phones is the extensive use of metal, such as’ HTC One M8. It seems that Samsung has listened to the criticism of all, as in fact the use of the materials. The critical, however, remains on the fact that the materials in polycarbonate are used for the back cover. Although much of it is metal, the phone weighs only 115 g.
Some of the latest features available on Samsung phones, such as the fingerprint sensor, were imported on this the device. However, the characteristics of resistance to water and dust in the Galaxy S5, they will not be on the Galaxy Alpha.
Memory
Unlike many Samsung phones, the Galaxy Alpha does not come with a slot for external memory card and it is vital that Samsung offers a significant amount of internal memory. Even in this case, the phone is different from its predecessors, offering only a storage option for 32 GB , no other variants.
Camera
The Galaxy S5 comes with a 16 megapixel camera and is considered one of the most beautiful smartphone launched in 2014 Instead of bringing the machine Photographic Similarly, the Alpha Galaxy uses a camera 12 megapixel and it offers most of the features found on the Galaxy S5 as the video recording mode and HDR 4k. On the front we have a 2.1 megapixel camera that offers enough support for self-portraits.
The North American model will be available with a Snapdragon processor 801 that has already been seen in a number of phones. This quad-core processor, which is clocked at 2.5 GHz, coupled with 2 GB of RAM will give the Galaxy a Alpha more than enough power to handle future versions of the Android operating system. Currently, the phone is expected to come with the latest version 4.4.4 when it will be in stores September 12th at a price of about 700 EUR .
