That war of flexible displays has officially started! A totally Korean battle between LG and Samsung who now fight on equal terms in virtually all areas of consumer electronics. Technologies similar but different design and aesthetic choices that reward the one or the other manufacturer according to taste. With the arrival of the first flexible displays, here came the first two proposals of the companies.
If Samsung Galaxy Round is already official, here come the first images of the new real LG G Flex . If Galaxy Round is the rounded version of Note 3, the G Flex is in fact the version of “banana” with the G2 screen 6 inch (and therefore very easy to imagine the same hardware top range). Two different products although both Koreans, who see the use of flexible displays in a fixed-shell and placed under a curved glass.
Obviously it is still early to talk about bodies and device entirely flexible, but these two proposals are the first step towards the realization of new concepts of smartphones. Difficult to understand how Samsung Galaxy Round and LG G Flex can be comfortable all day. The shape of the LG seems more convenient in some respects but with a curvature very important. The Samsung is more conservative and “swinging” in the opposite way, ie horizontal and the curvature is on the short side.
We could say, therefore, tests for a future flexible and not be ruled out that the G Flex also like Round is intended solely for the Korean market; will be marketed in November.
impossible not to remember, however, the first image of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus published by where you could clearly see the curved glass (but display non-flexible).
