After the tests made at IFA 2013 Galaxy Gear has finally come to the office and we immediately started to use. Although the segment of smartwatch is still at the beginning, Gear is undoubtedly the ultimate expression of smart watches. Samsung has really done a great job on a technical level, but especially in software. Although compatibility with smartphones and tablets is currently very limited (one of the major flaws of the competition), the coupled Gear + Notes 3 is very interesting.

After about 9 hours of use with over 15 minutes of calls to the Gear, a couple of videos, some pictures and a lot of changes to the menu, the Gear still had 45% battery. Although it can not be considered a record, for the quality of the display, the product features and hardware, over 25 hours of autonomy declared by Samsung seem possible with normal use of the product.
Other positive factors relate to the features of the vibration (at least when you turn off the bluetooth – we need to understand how to enable it for notifications) and management of voice commands which is quite good also in managing calls and SMS, all feasible directly from the watch without having to take the 3 notes from his pocket.
For now so much praise for a product that, in addition to being unique and follow the fashion of the moment, it is still more expensive than competing alternatives. This is currently probably the only defect found during the first day of use since there are no other negative points that emerged at the time or noteworthy (one might say that the metal scratches if you are not “careful” in addition to the aforementioned poor compatibility with Android devices).
