We tried a preview. We tied on the wrist and we’ve played around for almost an hour. We took photo , shot movies , made calls and given voice commands . We played to make secret agents, communicating by two different rooms holding his wrist up to your ear. We have certified with our own eyes the definition of the Super AMOLED display. Now we can say with knowledge of the facts: the Samsung Galaxy Gear is a cute accessory, in some cases even quite useful but, at least for the moment, will hardly be able to establish themselves on a permanent basis in our lives of all days.

3 things that convinced us:
The camera
Until I tried I could not believe, yet have a camera on your wrist can be very useful, as well as fun. The battery

3 things you still do not convince us:

Put that way, it seems the stuff of 007. In fact, the call feature has a little bit disappointed. The sound quality, for callers with Gear and for those who received it with a regular phone, it is comparable to that of a hands-free car. The speaker’s voice is slightly distorted and swollen, while remaining understandable. It is difficult, however, to understand the usefulness of this feature. Of course, if you’re driving you can answer the phone without taking it out of your pocket, but you’ll still need to talk about bringing a hand to his ear, at which point the problem remains.
At least for the first few weeks, Gear will be compatible only with the new Galaxy Note 3. From the upper floors Samsung ensure that by Christmas compatibility will also be extended to Galaxy S3, S4 and Notes 2, however, is what is clear is that Gear is an accessory for Samsung users only. One would expect, therefore, a pretty much perfect compatibility between devices, unfortunately it is not. During the test we connected via Bluetooth 4.0 to the Galaxy Gear Galaxy Note 3 and the dialogue was not exactly peaceful. On several occasions the smartwatch has lost the pairing and it was necessary to reconnect, and in some cases, notifications and messages have arrived with some delay. It is definitely a solvable problem, which should disappear in the first updates, but for now the verdict, from this point of view, is far from optimal. Alone is of little value
Samsung has never tried to hide it: Gear is not a substitute for your smartphone, you Soloun accessory. An accessory from 300 €, it is appropriate to remember that. As a second-screen device Gear is definitely an interesting product, but if you consider its price, begin to arise a little perplexity. For what purpose so much lighten your pockets for an accessory? To take pictures and videos with ease? To read emails and notifications which is then complicated answer anyway? For bullarsene with friends aperitif? Galaxy Gear For now boasts compatibility with more than 70 app, the only thing for which, however, seems indispensable are those for travel and the self-tracking. Surely the edge of evolution are very broad, and in a few months the functionality of Gear will become more effective.
