Marshmallow Android 6.0 for Galaxy S6 in February – Tom’s Hardware

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is a little late for the top of the range Samsung. According to documents leaked recently, in fact, Galaxy S6 (all variants) and Galaxy Note 5 does not receive the new version of the operating system before February. Galaxy S5, Notes and Notes 4 4 Edge instead talking about March or April.

So far, however, it was hoped that the update would arrive in December 2015 or January 2016; by the way some versions of test are already in circulation, including Android 6.0.1 for GS6 and GS6 Edge . Who has one of the devices mentioned instead will have to wait, and maybe look a bit ‘of envy those who have one of the smartphones of other brands (not many) that have already been updated.

The wait however is not very long, and within a month at most, probably less, the update should be available. The good news of course only affects those consumers who have chosen a top of the range: as always, cheaper products do not receive the same attention , an approach that recently has cost Samsung a complaint by Dutch consumers.

It seems that Samsung is moving on other fronts, including iOS. Other sources suggest in fact that the South Korean company is developing its own applications for iPhone and iPad.

This would include the applications required for match other devices , as the Gear Fit or the Galaxy View. Samsung, in other words, wants to give iOS users the opportunity to use his gadgets. The company, not long ago, had among other things announced its intention to make the Gear S2 compatible with iOS.

Applications Samsung, it seems, wants to take on iOS are so Gear Fit Manager, S Health, Level and smart cameras . All such Companion app , that is, software to be used with this or that device. With this Samsung may point to a wider audience, although of course remains to be seen whether the public will show some interest in Apple gadgets of the Asian giant.
