Samsung has invited the press to the event Unpacked which will start at 18:30 on March 1. At Mobile World Congress of Barcelona, the Korean manufacturer will unveil the expected Samsung Galaxy S6 . The picture accompanying the invitation shows a curved line of silver. The profile of the smartphone clearly remembers the Galaxy Note Edge. It is not clear therefore whether it is the Galaxy S variant Edge display with dual edge, or just the Galaxy S6.
Considering the previous Unpacked event, most likely Samsung will not only announce the Galaxy S6, but could unveil the new smartwatch with round display (Orbis) based on Tizen. The Samsung Galaxy S5 did not get the expected success and financial results showed a decline in sales and profits. The Korean manufacturer is therefore not surprising consumers with a smartphone revolutionary or risk losing market leadership in favor of Apple and Xiaomi.
According to the latest rumors on the hardware specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S6 should have a 5.1 inch display (2560 × 1440 pixels) and integrate a octa core processor Exynos 7420 , 3 GB of RAM and a 20 megapixel camera. Samsung would have decided to make the smartphone in metal and glass, and the unibody frame would not allow you to remove the battery. The operating system will Android 5.0 Lollipop with a TouchWiz leaner than before. The Unpacked event will be streamed on YouTube.
In the official announcement expected, leaked the possible price of the two variants of the smartphone:
Samsung Galaxy S6
- 32 GB (749 €)
- 64 GB (849 €)
- 128 GB (949 €)
Samsung Galaxy S Edge
- 64 GB (949 €)
- 128 GB (1,049 euro)
