Owners of Galaxy S5, 4 or Galaxy Note Galaxy Note 10 (full list here), know that your devices are among the safest on the market. To say it is the NSA, which approved the Galaxy series of Samsung to keep the data and the secret information of its agents. The devices have exceeded the safety standards of the NSA under the program known as Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSFC), which contains the list of all devices that meet the commercial Federal agency requirements.
Despite the entry in the special list of the NSA, which by the way already contains the Boeing Black smartphone developed from some theorems about security, is not said the S5 and the Galaxy Note 4 will be adopted en masse by employees American institution most discussed in recent years. However, the list could serve to increase the number of Samsung smartphones and tablets that support the platform Knox, as an alternative to the more well-known business solutions offered by BlackBerry.
What Knox
Samsung Knox is the main reason why the NSA has accepted some of the Galaxy series device to its list of secure devices. The platform allows to have on a smartphone the same two kinds of different content, personal and professional, without the risk of compromise by hackers or external attackers. It works this way: if I’m using the phone for work activities (eg open a pdf received via email) and then decide to take a break and look at the photos from your last vacation by the sea, just press an icon on your smartphone to go from one profile to another, triggering a series of specific protection measures for users attention. Among these is the encryption of corporate data , the activation of the release of the phone by reading the biometric data and the ability to enable two-factor authentication.
Double list
During last June, five devices from Samsung were included in the list of approved products Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) of the United States for military use. The entry list of the NSA is a first for a manufacturer that caters strictly to the general public and that, for the first time, can boast of its products in the list of National Security Agency the Department of Defense of the United States.
